Kathryn & Ben’s colorful celebration at Borgo di Pietrafitta

For Kathryn and Ben, the starting point was their desire to break away from muted neutrals and embrace colour.  Working closely with the Unique Events in Tuscany team, they crafted a palette of coral, peach, lilac, sky blue and sunny yellow.  These shades were woven throughout the design, from the ceremony to the cake cutting:

• Ceremony florals.  A sweeping arrangement of coral peonies, pink roses, purple alliums, blue delphiniums and yellow ranunculus framed the end of the aisle, anchored by wooden chairs.  The riot of colour popped against the manicured lawn and stone backdrop of Borgo di Pietrafitta (see photo below).

• Bridal style.  Kathryn wore a sleek satin halter‑neck gown and carried a bouquet bursting with coral, pink, blue and pastel blooms.  The saturated hues set off her minimalist dress and highlighted her joyful personality.

• Reception tables.  Long wooden tables were dressed with pastel arrangements of peonies, garden roses, ranunculus and hydrangea in blush, peach, yellow, powder blue and white.  Slender taper candles in glass cylinders added height and warmth, while green goblets and golden flatware completed the look.  The result was sophisticated yet playful.

• Floral installations.  A sculptural arrangement of purple hydrangeas, pink peonies, yellow roses and blue delphiniums surrounded a gilded stand, creating a striking photo backdrop.  Even guests’ attire echoed the palette; one wore a burnt‑orange dress that harmonised with the flowers.

• Cake cutting.  As night fell, Kathryn and Ben cut into a millefoglie‑style cake adorned with fresh fruit.  The table was ringed with small vases of pastel flowers and a vibrant ground‑level arrangement, reminding guests of the day’s colour story even in the evening.
